The documentary "Victoria and Siaka" (cinema, ORF) tells the story of the love between Siaka from Gambia and Victoria from Vienna. Their marriage has saved Siaka from deportation. Now they are travelling to Gambia to celebrate the wedding in his parents' small village in the traditional Islamic rite. With prayer, but also music, dance and the Gambian national sport of wrestling. Travelling in The Gambia were: Ivette Löcker (director), Lamin Touray (assistant director), Ines Vorreiter (sound) and Frank Amann (camera). Production: KGP Filmproduktion Vienna. Born in 1957, Rainer Bergomaz, a qualified biologist, gained experience as a camera assistant, sound technician and cameraman from 1981 before becoming a freelance journalist, cameraman and author for ARD and ZDF, among others, in 1994.
